The Month Ahead

As a local, family run business we’d like to thank you all for your continued loyalty & support throughout this difficult year.

In response to your kind messages & enquiries we are grateful to report that we are officially able to remain open. We do this cautiously and with every care for your welfare & the safety of our team.

There will be changes. Whilst all our retail areas can remain open, including our new outdoor Greenhouse Cafe which will continue to operate on a takeaway basis, however our main Coffee Shop will sadly have to close from Thursday 5th November.

In remaining open we can continue to offer much needed support to our many suppliers, producers & growers in the uncertain times ahead.

We all look forward to brighter times, in the meantime please keep safe & well.

The Okells Team

Due to the latest government guidelines we are postponing all workshops for the remainder of this year. Please see our Workshops page for more information.

A sanctuary of horticulture, goods for the home & popular cafe, designed to bring people together

Opened in 1981, Okells began growing heather plants and selling to garden centres up and down the country. Over time, we have slowly expanded our offer to an ever changing array of plants, trees, seeds and tools for the aspiring gardener to accomplished grower.

Alongside our garden shop lies our home store, stocking a range of wares sourced locally and internationally. Our cafe has a hearty range of wholesome British classics, and we’re proud to offer creative workshops teaching skills from painting to jewellery making, offering new skills and bringing people together.

We are very easy to find, just outside Chester, Cheshire, on the A51 between Tarvin and Tarporley. To find out about our latest events and what’s on, it’s best to visit our instagram or facebook page, please follow the links below.
